The Circus skills afternoon was organised on Tuesday 4th Nov 2008 between 14.30 – 17.30hrs which meant that the kids had some time off normal afternoon activities with almost 35 regular walking bus passengers took part in the afternoons fun and games which was held in the school hall.
The children were entertained by Jay Linn – a fantastic Circus Skills performer who brought with him peacock feathers – for learning how to balance things and juggling balls, clubs, spinning plates, unicycles, poi, chinese ribbons, diablo and devil sticks.
We also had birthday cake to celebrate OUR first birthday – ONE YEAR of the walking bus at St Josephs School.
Feedback from everyone from reception through to Year 6 has been really good and the school are desperately hoping that it will encourage MORE children to get involved with the walking bus.
If you want to get involved with the WALKING BUS please give me a ring OR check out the noticeboard on the school playground.
Matt
