St Jospehs Primary School currently operates 2 “Walking Bus” routes

Holy Cross

The “Walking Bus Route” starts at Holy Cross church car park on Chapel Lane.

We meet anytime after 8.30 a.m. but leave promptly at 8.40 a.m.

Our route to school takes us across Chapel Lane before turning right along St. John St. to the manned crossing outside King Edwards School. We then cross the road and turn left until we reach the small footpath which takes us to Beech Gardens. From here we turn right and follow the footpath all the way around Beech Gardens until we join Cherry Orchard. From here we turn right and walk along Cherry orchard crossing both Hazel Grove and Elm Gardens en-route. As we approach Oakhurst we follow the footpath to the right in order that we cross the road at the narrowest (safest) point before turning left and continuing to the crossing outside of the school.

Boley Park

The “Walking Bus Route” starts at the Co-op car park in the far corner near to the parent and toddler parking area.

We meet anytime after 08.30hrs but leave promptly at 08.40hrs (info awaiting confirmation).

Our route takes us into Lawford Ave following the footpath into Abbotsford Rd. We then cross Sunbury Ave proceeding along Abbotsford Rd before turning left into Ascot Cl. Turning left we enter Baskeyfield Cl and then turn right into Coltman Cl before turning right into Broad Lane. Crossing Broad Ln we then walk up Pentire Rd turning right into Broadlands Rise before entering the alley way which leads to Oakhurst. We then go along Oakurst crossing the road outside No 10 before continuing to the crossing outside of school.
